The Solo and Bolero 2017 program has just completed the enrollment round in Saigon with the number of 15,000 candidates, bringing the total number of contestants nationwide including Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho to 25,000.
Bolero music, or "NHAC VANG" has never being such popular before.
But in 1968, fifty years ago, a young man named Nguyen Van Loc, nicknamed Loc Vang, was arrested, sentenced to 10 years in prison, exiled most of his life for crimes due to singing " NHAC VANG"
