One of James Nguyen's works is being developed to uncover the neglected histories at Portion 53; the site of the old Easthills Migrant Hostel. Originally an indigenous settlement set aside as a “Green Belt Sanctuary,” Portion 53 had one of the first recorded indigenous claims (Goggey’s Claim) that appealed for land ownership to the Governor.
