Study suggests states, territories differ in students' progress

Researchers are calling on governments to focus more on the learning progress of Australian students after test results suggesting it varies from state to state and between comparative segments of their student populations. A new Grattan Institute report has compared NAPLAN test results on a state-by-state basis. The report's authors say the data shows students around the country are progressing at significantly different rates.
