A Sydney man accused of travelling to a Middle Eastern war zone to take up arms has appeared in a Sydney court.


Belal Betka was arrested on Tuesday morning at Mount Lewis, in Sydney's southwest, after being under police investigation since he allegedly travelled to Syria for at least five months during 2015.
