DPP legislator Su Chih-fen was stranded in the Hanoi Airport for 9 hours on Monday because she didn't get her boarding pass, and her passport was confiscated.

After MOFA negotiated with the Vietnam authorities, Su took a bus to Ha Tinh province, where she visited the Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation on August 2.

Su said she has no idea why the incident happened, and the Vietnam authorities clarified that they did not confiscate her passport.

It is reported that Su planned to attend an event hosted by Father Thadeus Nguyễn Văn Lý, the well-known dissident, was the cause of the incident.
