ATO made some recommendations on tax deduction for vacation homes and discovered some scams.
Many owners would like to reduce vacation homes even though the property is not really rented or ready to be rented.
Be sure the house is ready for rental after: advertising, location and condition of the house, appropriate rental conditions and the rental of interested people only refuse for obvious reasons.
