United States President Donald Trump has fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. It ends a rocky tenure by the former ExxonMobile chief, who engaged in a series of public rifts with Mr Trump over issues including Iran, North Korea and Russia. President Trump has nominated CIA director Mike Pompeo to step into the role.
