United States Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has detoured from the campaign trail for an unexpected meeting with the head of the Republican National Committee.
Tensions between Mr Trump and his party reached a new high this week when the billionaire abandoned his pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee if he loses.
