President Donald Trump's positions on Russia continue to stir up controversy in the United States.


The latest development involves President Trump asking his national security adviser, John Bolton, to invite President Vladimir Putin to Washington later this year. 

That news took many by surprise, including the US National Intelligence Director Dan Coats.
