The UN has been given a stern reminder of its responsibilities to the victims of sexual violence and slavery - but ended up adopting a weakened resolution.
Human Rights lawyer Amal Clooney and Nobel peace prize winners Nadia Murad and Denis Mukwege demanded justice for victims of an "epidemic of sexual violence" in conflicts, especially rapes and other abuses perpetrated by I-S extremists in Iraq and Syria.
