UN urges manufacturers to help combat increased noise-induced hearing loss

The World Health Organisation (WHO) wants governments and the makers of mobile phones, headphones and other audio devices to do more to control volume levels in an effort to combat rising rates of hearing loss. WHO estimates more than a billion young people around the world are at risk of damaging their hearing.
