United States President Donald Trump has compared the cost of building a wall on the Mexico border to the cost of prosecuting the war in Afghanistan, saying it'd be much cheaper. He's continuing to defend a partial shutdown of the US government which has lasted almost two weeks, triggered by Congress's failure to pass a bill to fund the wall.
