The US is now under pressure to take action against North Korea due to the death of 22-year-old American student Otto Warmbier.The so-called 'normal relations' between the U-S and North Korea are further away than ever.
Republican senator John McCain is one of a chorus of people calling for action against North Korea after the death of Otto Warmbier.
Senator McCain's forthright tweet says: "Let us state the facts plainly, Otto Warmbier, an American citizen, was murdered by the Kim-Jong Un regime."
A top U-S justice official says North Korea won't hold anyone accountable for Warmbier's death.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein went on to describe the treatment of the American student as "torture".
North Korea's ambassador to the U-N, Han Tae Song, wouldn't, however, comment specifically on Otto Warmbier's case, or those of the other American, South Korean and Canadian detainees still held in the country.
White House spokesman Sean Spicer says the chances of a meeting are pretty slim.
