Ms Ut Bach Lan, one of the most prominent names of the reformed classical art in the South of Vietnam, died at his home in Sai gon, after battling cancer.
The artist who was dubbed the 'melancholy lady' and is one of the "reformed great tree of Vietnam clasiical art " passed away at the age of 81 years old.
Her real name is Dang Thi Hai, born in Long An province.
