To fulfill this obligation, the Vietnamese government has translated and published the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and on 11 and 12 March, the UN will review Vietnam on the implementation of this convention.
The leading issue is the "internalization of" international commitments in the Constitution and the legal framework under which the BPSOS organization first needs to verify the accuracy of this translation, as it affects to the whole process of "legalizing" and enforcing international commitments, and the contents of an explanation report to the UN.
"We have discovered some significant misleading points compared to the original content," Ts. Nguyen Dinh Thang, General Director and President of BPSOS, said. "Whether intentional or unintentional, these misleading points need to be adjusted and included in the content of the review."
