At the hearing before the UN meeting to review the implementation of the UXO, the Vietnamese delegation denied all allegations of torture in Vietnam.


With an inherent allegation despite the evidence provided by the UN Committee, the Vietnamese delegation maintained that the deaths in the police station were due to suicide and that Vietnam had no prisoners of conscience.
The Committee gives Vietnam a 48-hour time frame to supplement its arguments.
