What did the Tet Offensive mean for the Vietnam War?

It's 50 years since one of the largest military campaigns of the Vietnam War and historians say the Tet Offensive marked a turning point in the conflict. The battle got its name because it took place as the Vietnamese celebrated Lunar New Year, known as Tet.
