Wild Oats XI (Eleven) has won the 2017 Sydney to Hobart yacht race in dramatic fashion, smashing the race record to claim line honours for the ninth time.
And the Australian supermaxi crew is dismissing a protest by second-place Comanche, (ko-MAN-chee) which claims the yachts were involved in a wrongful near-collision just after the start.
If the appeal is accepted, it could mean a time penalty is imposed.
