10 killed in bus crash in southern Morocco

Ten people have been killed and 22 others injured in a collision between a truck and a bus near Agadir in southern Morocco.

Saturday's collision caused a fire on board the bus, the local Health Ministry office said.

The injured were taken to Hassan II hospital in Agadir, while another in a critical condition was airlifted to Marrakech.

An investigation has been launched.

An estimated 3,000 people were killed in road accidents in Morocco in the first 10 months of 2016, according to figures from the Ministry of Equipment and Transport.
