UK Police have reported that a critically ill five-year-old boy taken from a hospital against medical advice has been found with his parents in Spain.

British police also confirmed the parents have been arrested.

An EU arrest warrant had been issued for the parents of Ashya King, who has a brain tumour and requires intensive medical care.

Brett King and his wife, Naghemeh, took Ashya from Southampton General Hospital on Thursday.

On its Facebook page, the Hampshire police force said: "Ashya has been found. He is in Spain with his mum and dad."

"Police are speaking to his mum and dad and we are waiting to hear on Ashya's condition."

Ashya's father, Brett King, has posted a video on Youtube with his son looking alert.

In the video, Mr King said they felt they were not being listened to about their views on treatment for Ashya and decided to act before potentially being banned from the hospital.
