The federal government has committed $30 million in domestic violence funding towards frontline legal services.

Queensland Senator George Brandis and Minister for Women Michaelia Cash made the announcement in the marginal seat of Petrie in Brisbane's north on Thursday.

The $30 million forms part of the $100 million announced in last week's federal budget that will go towards tackling domestic violence.
