Australia's Cameron Pilley has beaten Egyptian world No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy in a five-game thriller at the Hong Kong Open - one of squash's most prestigious tournaments.
Pilley caused a major upset when he beat Elshorbagy in the World Series Final in May, but proved the result was no fluke with an 11-9 8-11 9-11 14-12 11-9 victory in a 90-minute arm wrestle to advance to the third round.
It's also a reversal of the result from last year's Hong Kong Open final when Elshorbagy was too strong for the New South Welshman.
"I have a decent record against Mohamed so I know how to play him," Pilley said.
"There are days, like the final last year, where players can just completely outplay you ... but I got my revenge at the World Series finals back in May and I feel like I'm going well at this tournament."
