Adelaide Brighton 1H net profit drops 6.7%

Adelaide Brighton's interim net profit has fallen 6.7 per cent, with fewer property transactions booked compared to the same time the previous year.

Construction materials and lime maker Adelaide Brighton's first-half profit is down 6.7 per cent to $77.1 million, hurt by a fall in property deals.

Net profit for the six months to June 30 fell from $82.6 million a year earlier, despite a 1.2 per cent rise in revenue to $686 million.

Adelaide Brighton expects its full-year net profit to be in the range of $190 million to $200 million, including an estimated $7 million gain from property transactions.
