An Australian-first procedure to correct a tiger's cross-eyed status has been called off.
Indira has lived her whole life in captivity, her exceptionally friendly nature winning her roles in the films 'Anaconda' and 'George of the Jungle'.
But her cross-eye and cataracts have made eating difficult, and made her a target for other animals.

After examination, University of Sydney vets halted the cross-eye procedure, in favour of continuing with antibiotics that had seemed to improve her condition in recent months.
Indira will instead face cataract surgery in 2017, once artificial lenses are available.
