Andy Murray has beat Stan Wawrinka 6-4 6-2 to reach the semi-finals of the World Tour Finals, setting up a possible dream showdown for the No.1 ranking against Novak Djokovic.
Murray who finished 3-0 in group play, clinched his place with victory in just under 90 minutes.
Murray will play a Saturday semi-final against Canadian Milos Raonic, whom he beat this season in London in finals at Queen's club and Wimbledon.
"I've got a match against Milos now, a tough one. I'm certainly not taking anything for granted. I know it will be hard," Murray said.
"I've been pretty clinical. I'll need to be the same tomorrow if I want to win."

Current No.1 Murray, who took the top spot for the first time this month, and Djokovic, are duelling for year-end honours, with many hoping the result will be decided with a Sunday final between the pair.
Djokovic is trying to finish No.1 for the third-straight year and fifth time in six years.
Murray's straight-set success also put Kei Nishikori into the final four, with the Japanese taking second position in the group and facing Djokovic next.
Nishikori, who has a chance to replace Wawrinka as third in the world, lost to Marin Cilic 3-6 6-2 6-3.
In was the first time Cilic has won a match at the year-ender in six tries, but it was his third victory in a row over Asia's top player this season.
Wawrinka destroyed two racquets at one tense moment in the second set after going down two breaks.
The Scot now stands 10-7 over Wawrinka; a year ago, Wawrinka beat Murray in two sets to reach the semis.
"I weathered the early storm a little bit. Stan came out hitting the ball huge. He was hitting a lot of winners, a lot of aces," Murray said.
"But once I got through the early part of the match, I started to create chances in most of his service games."
Murray has now won his last 22 matches and four tournaments as he plays the season wrap-up semis for the fourth time.
