Tasmanian police rescue six from water

Six people have had to be rescued from Tasmanian waters in three separate incidents on Sunday afternoon.

Tasmanian police have had to rescue four kayakers and two other men in a busy afternoon on the water.

A yacht capsized off Bridport and a man had to be rescued on Sunday afternoon, while another boat went adrift on the Tamar River and had to be towed back to safety.

Four kayakers were also rescued from floodwaters on the South Esk River after they became stranded.
