Man stomped on in Gold Coast robbery

A man has told police three men jumped him, before knocking him to the ground and stabbing him in the leg to rob him on a Gold Coast street.

A man has been stabbed in the leg and stomped on by three men in a vicious street robbery on the Gold Coast.

The 35-year-old man has told police the three men stole his shoes and mobile phone after they jumped out of a car on Frank St, Labrador and attacked him early on Tuesday morning.

He was knocked unconscious to the ground before being stomped on and stabbed in the leg.

He's being treated in the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening head and leg injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
