Downer wins $190m solar farm contract

Global solar development company FRV has awarded Downer EDI with an $190 million contract to build and maintain the Clare Valley Solar Farm in Queensland.

Engineering group Downer EDI has secured a $190 million solar farm contract in north Queensland.

Global solar development company FRV has awarded Downer with the contract to build, operate and maintain the 100 megawatts Clare Valley Sollar farm that it is developing in north Queensland.

Construction is expected to begin next year and to take about 12 months, Downer said.
