Third seed Agnieszka Radwanska is through to round two after a roller-coaster Australian Open first-round win over Tsvetana Pironkova.

World No.3 Agnieszka Radwanska survived a roller-coaster round one to overcome Tsvetana Pironkova.

Radwanska downed the tricky Bulgarian 6-1 4-6 6-1 on Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday night.

Making two Melbourne semi-finals in the past three years, the Pole next faces Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni.
