Crows confident McGovern will stay

The Adelaide Crows are confident of retaining rising AFL forward Mitch McGovern, who is a trade target of West Australian clubs.

The Adelaide Crows are confident of winning a tug-of-war for their emerging forward Mitch McGovern.

The 22-year-old is off-contract at the end of the looming AFL season and is a trade target of West Coast, where his older brother Jeremy plays, and Fremantle.

"We are pretty confident we can keep him here," Crows forward Tom Lynch told reporters on Wednesday.
