Former Gold Coast midfielder and new Hawthorn recruit Jaegar O'Meara has received the cold shoulder ahead of his return to the holiday strip.
Sunday will be the first time he plays his former club and Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade says the Suns are focusing on their own performance.
"It hasn't been mentioned in any meetings so whether the players have I'm not too sure, we're just worrying about ourselves to be honest," Eade said.
Suns co-captain Tom Lynch reiterated the point that their concern was getting the team back on track after a 102-point defeat by Greater Western Sydney.
"He is a good player so we will put some worked into him, he played a good game last week so we will work out how best to play him but at the moment we have to focus on ourselves before worrying about our opposition," the 199cm key forward said.

"It's not going to be the first or last time I have played against players that have come from our club so I think we will be treated like any other player."
O'Meara left the Suns controversially late last year after missing the 2016 season due to a knee injury.
He displayed the talent Gold Coast initially saw in him last week, collecting a career-best 36 disposals in Hawthorn's loss to Adelaide.
Hawthorn are yet to register a win this season after losing to Essendon and Adelaide but history is on their side. The Suns have never beaten them and Hawthorn average 115 points against Eade's men, recording 148 the last time they played at Metricon while Gold Coast have not scored more than 63 points against the Hawks in their last four attempts.
