Five-year-old boy shot at Sydney home, motive unclear

A boy has been hurt after a gunshot was fired into a home in Sydney's southwest.

About 9pm on Monday, a five-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound while inside his home on Morison Drive, Lurnea.

Early investigations suggest the motive for the shooting is unclear and a shot was fired at the house, police said.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital by his parents where he remains in a stable condition with a wound to his hip.
