Three AFL clubs cop MRP whack

The Western Bulldogs will be without Easton Wood as they look to keep their AFL season alive this weekend against Carlton after the influential defender accepted his suspension.

Wood, who captained the club to last year's premiership in the absence of injured skipper Robert Murphy, earned a one-week ban for striking Mitch McGovern in last Friday's poor defeat to Adelaide.

Wood was one of three players to accept bans on Tuesday.

St Kilda's Tim Membrey will spend two weeks out for a flying elbow to the head of Richmond's Dylan Grimes.

Levi Greenwood's high hit on Essendon midfielder Zach Merrett means the Collingwood tagger won't travel to the Gold Coast.
