Man dies in fall from Freo pub balcony

West Australian police are preparing a report for the coroner after 28-year-old man fell to his death from the balcony of a Fremantle pub.

A man has died after falling from the second floor balcony of a Fremantle pub.

Police say it appears he was sitting on the back of a sofa chair on the balcony of the South Terrace hotel on when he lent back and fell through a plastic cafe blind to the pavement below.

The 28-year-old man from West Perth died in Fiona Stanley Hospital after the accident at 8.30pm on Saturday.
