Third-seeded Anett Kontaveit has booked a semi-final berth at the WTA's Ladies Championship Gstaad with a straight-sets victory over Germany's Carina Witthoeft.

The Estonian's comfortable 6-2 6-4 was in stark contrast to the three-set battle her next opponent Tereza Martincova survived on Friday.

The Czech world No.140 dropped the first set before prevailing 3-6 6-1 7-5 over German qualifier Antonia Lottner.

Second-seeded Kiki Bertens overcame Johanna Larsson 6-4 6-4 to reach the last four.

The Dutchwoman will face unseeded Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo next after her 6-2 6-3 quarter-final win over German Tamara Korpatsch.
