Star Tiger hopes to play better in AFL GF

Richmond star Jack Riewoldt is hoping to play better in the AFL grand final after a quiet day against Greater Western Sydney.

Richmond star Jack Riewoldt admits he didn't play well in Saturday's preliminary final win over Greater Western Sydney.

But he says it's a sign of the Tigers' growth as a team that they don't need him to kick a bag of goals to win any more.

"Let's not beat around the bush - I didn't play very well - but my role is completely different to what it has been in the past," Riewoldt told reporters on Sunday.
