24 die in Zimbabwe bus crash

A collision between two buses in Zimbabwe has killed at least 24 people and left another 46 with injuries.

At least 24 people are dead after two buses collided near the Zimbabwean capital Harare.

State television said at least 46 others were injured after the two buses, travelling in opposite directions, sideswiped about 30 kilometres northeast of Harare.

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation said witnesses blamed the accident on speeding by both drivers.

Road accidents are common in Zimbabwe, where highways are riddled with potholes due to years of neglect.
