More than 30 customers including children have fallen sick after eating sandwiches linked to a salmonella outbreak at a South Australian bakery.

SA Health confirmed that nine people including two children needed hospitalising after eating products from the Gawler South bakery.

"We've now seen cases in people aged two-years to 70-years-old and we are anticipating more cases as further test results come through," SA Health's Dr Kevin Buckett said.
