Greek police have arrested the owner of a farm and one of his supervisors on Thursday after 30 migrant strawberry pickers from Bangladesh were shot and wounded in the south in a dispute over back pay.
The mass shooting occurred near the village of Manolada late on Wednesday, about 260km west of Athens in the Peloponnese, after about 200 angry workers demanded unpaid salaries.
At least one of three supervisors on duty opened fire on the workers at the farm's strawberry fields, wounding 30.
Eight of those injured are in critical condition.
The owner of the farm, who wasn't present at the time of the shooting, and one of his supervisors have been arrested.

The area of Manolada, known for its strawberries, has been in the spotlight in the past for various cases involving violence against migrant workers.
Last year, two Greek men were arrested for beating a 30-year-old Egyptian, ramming his head in the window of a car door and dragging him for approximately one kilometre.
In 2008, migrants working on farms in the area went on a four-day strike to protest salaries as low as 5 euros a day and squalid living conditions.
