$300k found buried in Qld backyard

Queensland police have dug up about $300,000 of cash in the backyard of a home in the Ipswich suburb of Goodna.

About $300,000 in cash has been found buried in the backyard of an Ipswich home, west of Brisbane.

A large amount of cannabis was also found during a police search of the Church Street home in the suburb of Goodna on Wednesday.

Police have declared the home and two adjoining properties a crime scene.

A 58-year-old Goodna man has been charged with one count of possess dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday.
