38 killed in spate of Iraq bombings

A spate of attacks in Iraq, including a suicide bombing at a funeral, have claimed at least 38 lives, officials say.

Attacks in Baghdad and just north of the Iraqi capital, including a suicide bombing at a funeral and seven car bombs, have killed at least 38 people.

Officials say the suicide attack hit the funeral of an anti-al-Qaeda militiaman in restive Diyala province while the car bombs targeted civilians in and around the capital.
