The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says 4,441 people have been killed by Islamic State in Syria since the announcement of a "caliphate" by the group on June 29, 2014.
At least 2,421 of the victims were civilians, including 131 children and 86 women who lost their lives at the hands of jihadists by shooting, beheading, stoning or being thrown from the roofs of buildings, among others.
IS has also killed 333 Syrian rebels and fighters of other Islamic factions, including Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, the former Nusra Front, as well as the Kurdish People's Protection Units, SOHR reports.
There has been 1,200 soldiers killed from the Damascus government and its affiliates.
SOHR said IS has extrajudicially executed 487 of its own members, some of them accused of spying for other countries, trying to escape the domain of the "caliphate" or working for the U.S.-led international coalition.
