6.0 magnitude quake hits Indonesia

A 6.0-magnitude quake hit Indonesia's North Sulawesi province on Friday, the local Meteorological and Geophysics agency said, but there were no immediate reports of

damage and no tsunami alert was issued.

The quake struck at a depth of 65 kilometres, 246 kilometres southeast of the Melonguane area at 1739 AEST, according to the agency.
