British police have arrested six teenagers suspected of murdering a Polish man in a possible hate crime, according to police and local media.
Essex police said in a statement on Tuesday that four 15-year-old boys and one 16-year-old boy from the town of Harlow, 50 kilometres north of London, were arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder. They were later released on bail pending further inquiries until October 7.
Another 15-year-old was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder and is awaiting questioning.
Britain's Press Association reports the victim was Polish and police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
Police said the 40-year-old man died of head injuries after being attacked outside a row of Harlow takeaway shops Saturday.
