Joel Embiid had 29 points and Australian Ben Simmons chipped in with 16 as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the undermanned Milwaukee Bucks 116-94 for their seventh NBA win in eight games.

Simmons added eight rebounds and nine assists in an impressive all-round performance.

With the victory, the Sixers improved their win-loss record to 22-20 and moved past Milwaukee for sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

Milwaukee were without All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was sitting out the first of two games to rest a sore right knee.

"Hopefully, after missing these two games, he doesn't have to miss any more," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said.

The Sixers showed good depth early. Nine players scored in the first quarter, and they built a 53-37 lead before halftime before going on with it.

Australian Joe Ingles tied a career-high 21 points and five three-pointers in helping the Utah Jazz to a 125-113 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

He added four rebounds, two assists and four steals to his stat sheet while Donovan Mitchell scored 23 points as six Jazz players scored in double figures.

Lou Williams scored 31 points, collected 10 steals and dished out seven assists for the Clippers.

Elsewhere, Chris Paul paired 33 points with 11 rebounds as the Houston Rockets snapped the Golden State Warriors' 14-game road winning streak with a 116-108 victory.

James Harden delivered a key three-pointer down the stretch and finished with 22 points and eight assists.

Kevin Durant led Golden State with 26 points while Draymond Green added 21 as Stephen Curry and his backcourt partner Klay Thompson combined for just 27 points on 9 for 31 shooting.

Paul George scored 36 points, Carmelo Anthony added a season-high 29 and Russell Westbrook recorded a season-best 20 assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder thrashed the Cleveland Cavaliers 148-124.

LeBron James finished with 18 points, leaving him just seven shy of becoming the seventh player in NBA history with 30,000 career points.

Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns hit clutch three-pointers down the stretch as the Minnesota Timberwolves withstood a 40-point night by point guard Kyle Lowry beat the Toronto Raptors 115-109.

Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 117-108, the New Orleans Pelicans scored a 111-104 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Miami Heat edged the Charlotte Hornets 106-105 and the Chicago Bulls eased past the Atlanta Hawks 113-97.
