A hug from Harry makes India's day

The excitement of meeting the royal couple brought at least one young fan to tears after Prince Harry gave India Brown a hug, which is against protocol.

A hug from Prince Harry was almost too much for India Brown.

The teenager was one of thousands who had waited for the chance to meet Harry and his wife Meghan during their Melbourne visit on Thursday.

Halfway up the drive to Government House, Harry stopped when he saw India's sign emblazoned with "Been here since 4am, loved you since I was 8".

"Prince Harry just hugged me," an overwhelmed India, who was shaking and crying, said afterwards.

"I have loved that family since I was eight and followed them around the world, and it was such an opportunity and I went for it.
