Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott and his deputy Julie Bishop have used a jog around Parliament House in Canberra on Thursday to back the mining industry's fight against a super profits tax.
They sported T-shirts emblazoned with the message "Keep Mining Strong".
The shirts were a popular item at a mining industry dinner in parliament's Great Hall on Wednesday night.

At the dinner Sir Rod Eddington, the businessman Labor appointed to head Infrastructure Australia, was less than impressed with the way the Rudd government had gone about introducing the tax.
"The policy-making process to date leaves a lot to be desired," he said.
Sir Rod, a board member of resources giant Rio Tinto, said enduring reform was best pursued through genuine consultation and dialogue.
"The national stakes are high and cool heads must prevail," he said.
