Federal Labor is calling on Opposition Leader Tony Abbott to dump his candidate for the seat of Perth for crude comments he made on an online forum eight years ago.
Real estate manager and Liberal candidate for Perth Darryl Moore said in 2005 on a property forum that he made a point of being extra tough with women during negotiations, The Australian reports.
He also referred to his tenants as illiterate animals and boasted about evicting them using his "forklift and truck" method.
Labor says Mr Moore's comments are shameful and should rule him ineligible to run for any major political parties.
"If Mr Abbott is fair dinkum, his endorsed candidate Darryl Moore shouldn't last until lunch time today," a Labor spokesperson said on Tuesday.

"These comments are not befitting any mature adult, let alone one putting himself up for public office."
Retiring Labor MP and Defence Minister Stephen Smith holds Perth on a margin of 5.9 per cent.
Mr Abbott said he was not aware of Mr Moore's comments.
"But obviously people shouldn't make unsavoury comments," he told reporters in Adelaide.
"I repudiate unsavoury comments by candidates, whoever they might be."
