Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has accepted an invitation to attend the British Conservative Party's annual conference next week.
The UK trip will give him an opportunity to meet British Prime Minister David Cameron, who heads a minority government.
British Foreign Affairs Secretary William Hague and Defence Secretary Liam Fox will also be at the Birmingham party conference, which runs from Sunday to Wednesday.

Mr Abbott said he would also use the trip to meet with Bank of England governor Mervyn King in London.
Nationals leader Warren Truss will act as opposition leader in Mr Abbott's absence.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard will also be overseas next week, attending a summit involving European and Asian leaders in Brussels.
