Voters should keep in mind there's little doubt penalty rates will be under threat if Tony Abbott wins government, a union boss claims.
As people step into voting booths on Saturday, ACTU president Ged Kearney wants them to remember a coalition win would be "a dream outcome" for the business lobby.
"Businesses have made it clear that they want to cut penalty rates and the coalition opposed enshrining penalty rates in law," she said.
"There is little doubt that penalty rates are under threat, particularly under an Abbott-led government."
Mr Abbott has said the Fair Work Commission, an independent umpire, would be maintained under a coalition government and decide on penalty rates.
